The 2.2 kilometer Karnainen Tunnel runs underneath a wilderness area of great natural beauty, ideal for mushroom picking, scouting, picnics and skiing and encompassing woodland and two small lakes.
When the city which owns the area planned to cut down the trees for profit, our special purpose company joined forces with local people to save the area for the community.
