Skanska has been retained by the State of Connecticut to provide preconstruction and construction administration services for the Eli Whitney Technical High School. The project involves significant additions and renovations to the existing Eli Whitney Technical High School in support of the Long Range Comprehensive Strategic Educational Physical Plant Master Planning for the Vocational Technical School System of the Department of Education. The school will remain operational during construction. Skanska is supporting the feasibility effort by attending meetings and participating in the discussion and formulation of alternative schemes for the project. In addition to Project Team meetings, Skanska is attending and participating in community informational meetings. Skanska’s scope of work during preconstruction includes estimating, scheduling, value engineering, constructability reviews, logistics and phasing analysis, bid analysis and award. During construction we will provide overall construction oversight of the project from inception through commissioning and turnover.
